FAQ's

A number of resources have been identified and reviewed as to their suitability for use in New Zealand.

  • We have provided a glossary of common terms used in risk assessment.

  • There is also a FAQ page of commonly asked questions that relate to undertaking a risk assessment.

  • There are also some useful resources for doing a Tier 1 risk assessment.

  • A checklist is available for characterising a site.

Most of the resources available on this website relate to Tier 2 and Tier 3 advanced risk assessment.

These "advanced" resources include over 600 reports, publications, web sites, and internet databases covering ecological risk assessment, and reviews of more than 100 risk assessment, contaminant migration and dispersion computer models.
